Idaho-based convenience chain Stinker Stores has raised $57,500 in its latest Stomp Out Hunger campaign that will help provide 172,000 meals to The Idaho Foodbank, reported local news outlet Idaho Business Review.

“Stinker strives to be a bright spot in our communities,” said Steve Cook, district manager for the chain. “The Stomp Out Hunger campaign has been a fantastic pathway to help make that possible.”

During the campaign, store employees asked customers to donate at the register. Cook said the company’s founders always helped to inspire the philanthropic mission of Stinker. Store No. 32 in Boise raised the most funds during the campaign, bringing in $1,700 in donations, the store reported.

Meanwhile, RaceTrac was the presenting sponsor of Camp Sunshine's first-ever Sunshine Spectacular last weekend, an event “dedicated to bringing joy and support to children with cancer and their families,” according to a LinkedIn post.

“Camp Sunshine is a non-profit organization that provides year-round recreational, educational and support programs for children with cancer and their families. Over the years, RaceTrac has helped raise more than $1.4 million to support Camp Sunshine, and this event is another meaningful way to make a difference,” the retailer said.
