Buc-ee’s opened two new locations this week—the first Virginia location opened June 30 and another opened July 1 in Georgia, reported USA Today.
The 75,000-square-foot Virginia location is located in Rockingham County, about an hour drive northwest of Charlottesville and roughly two hours from Washington, D.C.
In Georgia, the new Buc-ee’s is located in Brunswick and is the third location in the state per USA Today.
Also on the East Coast, Royal Farms announced the grand opening of its fourth Upper Marlboro, Maryland, location planned for July 28, 2025, per a release. Royal Farms will host a ticketed “Get Ready to ROFO” soft opening event on July 23 and 24, inviting the community to preview the new store.
The new location will feature 16 fuel dispensers, 24/7 service and made-to-order food.
Looking to the West Coast, The Pala Band of Mission Indians broke ground this week on the new Pala Super Mart Fuel Station, according to a press release sent to NACS. The location is slated to open in 2026.
“Strategically located on Highway 76, a key corridor between inland San Diego and the coast, the Pala Super Mart Fuel Station is designed as a modern, full-service retail destination. More than a typical roadside stop, the new facility will include a grocery market, specialty coffee bar, full-service deli, EV charging stations, 24/7 fueling and a state-of-the-art car and RV wash. The project is expected to create over 35 new jobs in the local community,” the retailer said.
“This new development is a vital step in fulfilling our vision for long-term Tribal economic sustainability,” said Pala Tribal Chairman Robert Smith. “The Pala Super Mart Fuel Station will not only bring fresh food and quality services to the region, but it also strengthens our commitment to infrastructure, job creation and community well-being—for both our Tribal members and our neighbors.”
