Captain Morgan recently introduced its newest ready-to-drink lineup, Captain Morgan Sliced. Captain Morgan Sliced is a line of cocktail-inspired malt beverages. According to the company, each can of Captain Morgan Sliced balances convenience and deliciousness.

"We didn't just want to introduce another new canned drink—we wanted to slice through the ordinary with an offering that compliments the adventurous spirit of our consumers," said Laura Merritt, CMO, Diageo Beer Company. "Captain Morgan has always been known and loved for its bold flavor, and we're excited to shake up the category and introduce Captain Morgan Sliced to the world."

Captain Morgan Sliced is available in a 12-count variety pack of 12 oz cans with an ABV of 5.8% and is now available on shelves nationwide at a suggested retail price of $19.99.

The new lineup offers four malt-based flavors inspired by traditional cocktails:

  • Pineapple Daiquiri-style beverage is a malt-based take on the island drink that combines the flavors of lime and pineapple.
  • Strawberry Margarita-style beverage fuses the flavors of lime and strawberry.
  • Passionfruit Hurricane-style beverage is a take on the New Orleans cocktail with the taste of passionfruit, lemon, and orange flavors.
  • Mango Mai Tai-style beverage is a malt-based drink that combines the tastes of citrus and pineapple with mango flavor.

The company also announced Captain Morgan Sliced Up, which is new to shelves this month. Available in 23.5 oz and 16 oz can offerings of Long Island Iced Tea-style beverage and Tropical Hurricane-style beverage, the RTD will be available in convenience stores.

The spirit category and RTDs continue to gain ground. According to the Distilled Spirits Council of the U.S. (DISCUS) annual economic report, U.S. spirits supplier revenue grew 0.2% last year, reaching $37.7 billion.
