SAVANNAH, Ga. – Parker’s convenience stores recently debuted a special edition breast cancer awareness coffee travel cup, with 50 cents from every cup sold benefitting Susan G. Komen, a nonprofit organization dedicated to breast cancer research, screening, treatment and education.

The refillable coffee cups are available in all 47 Parker’s locations while supplies last. Designed to coincide with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, this campaign will raise money to help fight breast cancer.

“Breast cancer has touched the lives of so many of our customers,” said Parker’s CEO Greg Parker. “We are deeply honored to join the fight against breast cancer and to support research to help find a cure for this potentially deadly disease.”

Susan G. Komen is the global leader of the breast cancer movement. As the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists, this nonprofit organization unites individuals to work together to save lives, empower survivors, ensure quality care for all and fund research to find a cure for breast cancer.

Parker’s currently operates 47 convenience stores in Georgia and South Carolina and employs 625 individuals. The company, which completes more than 100,000 transactions daily, recently celebrated its 40th anniversary.

Giving back to communities is a core value for convenience stores. By supporting local and national charities, c-stores strengthen the areas they serve—and build customer loyalty. Read “Sweet Charity” in the October issue of NACS Magazine for more on how many stores partner with national organizations in an effort to give back.
