ATLANTA – The Coca-Cola Company’s Simply Beverages recently announced its new line of healthier juices, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports. Simply Light has four flavors: Simply Light Orange Pulp Free, Simply Light Orange with Calcium & Vitamin D, Simply Light Lemonade and Simply Light Lemonade with Raspberry. The Simply line launched in 2001.

Simply Light is aimed at the 25-year-old to 49-year-old market, according to Simply Beverages brand director, Kelly Marx. The lighter versions contain fewer calories and less sugar than original drinks. The healthier drinks align with Coke’s 2017 Sustainability Report that stated its commitment to lowering sugar in more than 400 beverages.

“We know consumers are increasingly looking for lower-calorie, lower-sugar beverages, and that their options in the juice category are limited,” Marx said. “We also know Simply fans have come to expect great taste from their favorite juices and ‘ades,’ so we kept that in mind throughout the development.”

Simply Light is just one step Coke took to advance its juice brand, as Coca-Cola Beverages Africa injected millions to expand and produce new, non-soda drinks. The company wants to deliver a “more complete beverage solution,” said Daryl Wilson, managing director of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa in Kenya.
