NEW YORK - Diet Pepsi announced earlier this week that it is launching its "taller, sassier" can ?" the Skinny Can ?" at New York's Fall 2011 Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week, beginning today.

The new Diet Pepsi Skinny Can will be available nationwide in March.

"Diet Pepsi has a long history of celebrating women through iconic fashion imagery seen in our infamous and historical campaigns, and we're proud to continue that tradition as an official sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week," said Jill Beraud, Chief Marketing Officer, PepsiCo. "Our slim, attractive new can is the perfect complement to today's most stylish looks, and we're excited to throw its coming-out party during the biggest celebration of innovative design in the world."

As part of the launch, store window display artist Simon Doonan will unveil a special collaboration at the Diet Pepsi Style Studio in New York's Soho neighborhood on February 11 that features Skinny Cans and Jonathan Adler designs.

"I'm thrilled to be working with Diet Pepsi in creating a truly one-of a kind window installation - one of my boldest creations yet - that fashion insiders, tastemakers and the public at large can all enjoy," Doonan said. "Along with the element of surprise, one of the best things about fashion week is the chic-sexy confidence exuded by attendees and models alike, and I've incorporated both into the display."

Pepsi is promoting its new can design to consumers, persuading them to "Get the Skinny" on the new design on Facebook.
