New Price-Intelligence Technology Designed Specifically for C-Stores

Retail machine-learning company creates customized solutions to optimize customer experience.

SCOTTSDALE – Clear Demand, a retail machine learning company, has updated its core pricing, promotion and markdown solutions for c-stores.

The company seeks to deliver an onmichannel lifecycle pricing solution for retailers that synchronizes multiple levels of operation to create a consistent brand and shopping experience. But the updated user interface and analytics engine will help interpret and implement solutions around pricing, merchandising and promotional activity for c-stores.

“Many c-store retailers are not staffed to manage a pricing solution, so Clear Demand offers Analytics-as-a-Service in which we operate as the retailer’s pricing team,” said CEO Jim Sills. “Further, it is difficult for c-store retailers to shop their competitor’s prices due to the large number of stores in the convenience industry.”

Ricker Oil, a c-store retailer in Anderson, Ind., was one of the first to implement the new technology. The company saw a “significant increase in gross profit” and can now consider using the solution for additional categories like merchandising.

Clear Demand will be at the NACS State of the Industry Summit on April 10-12.
