NACS is the first retail association to make a commitment with the Partnership for a Healthier America, as announced at PHA’s Building a Healthier Future Summit on May 11, 2017. Through its commitment, NACS will rely on PHA’s resources and expertise to help conveniences stores provide more visibility to healthier choices inside their stores.
Over the next three years, NACS will make key resources available to its members to help them determine how to carry additional healthier choices, as well as provide promotional materials related to Drink Up, PHA’s marketing campaign to encourage water consumption.
- NACS and PHA have created a web-based nutrition resource that could help convenience stores identify products as being healthier options and assist them in defining their better-for-you sets. Click here to get started.
- Drink Up marketing materials have been customized for NACS that encourage convenience store customers to stay hydrated and drink water. Read more about the Drink Up project here. Order and download free marketing collateral materials that you can use in your stores. Click here to learn more.
Continue to engage small-format stores, specifically corner stores and bodegas, that are often the only food source for residents in highly rural or urban settings. Currently, NACS delivers an annual Corner Store Forum held each October at the NACS Show as well as frequent webinars with the group throughout the year.
Provide healthier catering options and emphasize wellness at NACS events, including the NACS Show as well as at the NACS office.
