YORK, Pa. – Over the past five years, Rutter’s has paid out more than $106 million in lottery cash prizes to customers, which included several multimillion dollar prizes to lucky winners.

The Rutter’s in East Berlin sold a scratch off ticket worth $50,000. A big win recently was a Cash 4 Life ticket sold at the Rutter’s on the Susquehanna Trail that gave the winner $1,002,000. In February 2016, a lucky Rutter’s customer received $100,000 from a lottery ticket win. Then two months later, the Mountville Rutter’s sold an Instant Fever ticket worth $1 million.

“We are very fortunate to have become a lucky place for our customers to get their lottery tickets. This time of year, Pennsylvania lottery tickets make great gifts, and we are proud of our partnership with them. With an annual average payout to lottery winners of more than $21 million each year, Rutter’s really is the luckiest place to play,” said Derek Gaskins, Rutter’s chief customer officer, in a press release.

Rutter’s offers all Pennsylvania Lottery terminal-based games as well as a variety of instant lottery games to hundreds of thousands of customers who visit their 69 convenience stores throughout Central Pennsylvania each week.
