SAVANNAH, Ga. – Parker’s recently celebrated its 40th anniversary by giving away a free Jeep Renegade to one lucky customer. At the company’s Garden City, Ga., store, Parker’s CEO Greg Parker presented the keys to a white Jeep emblazoned with the Parker’s logo to Tina Leggett, a Savannah woman who works at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

“It’s mine,” she laughed before she got behind the wheel. “Nobody’s taking it.” Leggett’s name was chosen at random from entries by the general public as well as by more than 130,000 Pump Pal Club members who entered the anniversary giveaway each time they used their cards at Parker’s. During the four-month long anniversary celebration, customers made more than four million PumpPal transactions.

Leggett said she was delighted to win the Jeep Renegade because she had already given her own car to her teenage daughter and was driving what she called “a clunker.” “I was just shocked and overwhelmed,” she said of winning the grand prize. “And thankful, really.”

The Jeep giveaway was part of Parker’s celebrating 40 years in business. Throughout the summer, the company offered a wide range of anniversary specials for customers in Georgia and South Carolina.

“We wanted to celebrate our landmark anniversary with our customers,” Parker said. “It’s a real thrill to give away a new Jeep Renegade to one of our loyal PumpPal members. I can’t think of anyone more deserving than Tina.”
