Anderson talks about the special fuel waivers issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to keep fuel products available to consumers as well as exceptions to labor regulations for fuel truck transportation.

As Lenard points out, the Florida Governor has recently announced mandatory evacuations meaning residents are going to need of fuel for cars and generators. This has the potential to increase demand on an already stressed fuel supply in the state. Additionally, as Irma’s path is still unknown, gas pipelines up the East Coast will be on high alert.
