OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Caring Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization that provides Oklahomans access to preventative health services, is partnering with local grocery stores to host a back-to-school immunization clinic for children aged 6 weeks to 18 years.

The Oklahoma Caring Van “delivers immunizations to protect children and adolescents from dangerous illnesses at no cost to their families,” according to the organization’s website.

Immunizations are available from July 23 – July 27 on a first-come, first-served basis. A parent or guardian must be present and must provide records of previous immunizations. Participating stores include Buy For Less, Supermercados Morelos and Smart Saver.

Walmart stores across the United States also are offering low-cost immunizations and free screenings for the back-to-school season, according to the Dayton Daily News. A Walmart spokesperson said that the company wants to “make sure that we are offering immunizations to make sure families have another access point that is convenient and affordable.”
