LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.—Majors Management has acquired 69 convenience store locations from Circle K Stores Inc.

The sites are located in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The acquisition extends Majors’ footprint into Virginia and the Southeast. The company will convert 34 of the sites to franchised Kangaroo Express locations.

"We are pleased to have collaborated with the teams at NRC Realty and Capital Advisors and Circle K to close this acquisition quickly, efficiently and without disruption to the stores. NRC did a first-class job conducting the sale of these assets, and the team at Circle K were professionals in all respects. I am incredibly proud of the effort everyone at Majors showed in completing this transaction in record time overcoming the challenges associated with taking over sites spread across six states. We thank all the people that contributed to the smooth transition,” said Majors President Ben Smith. “We are excited to expand our franchise relationship with Circle K, grow the Kangaroo Express brand and grow Majors' footprint in new markets.”

In December, Majors Management acquired Haywood Oil Company Inc. dba Peak Energy, which operated seven convenience stores and served more than 100 wholesale dealer accounts throughout Western North Carolina, as well as parts of South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.

The same month, Majors also purchased Tri-State Petroleum Corporation, which had 25 company-operated petroleum marketing and convenience retail stores, eight wholesale dealer accounts and two commercial fuels bulk plants located in the tri-state region of western Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and eastern Ohio.
