OKLAHOMA CITY—Love’s Travel Stops announced the opening of a new location in Pasco, Washington. The 13,000 square-foot store adds 57 truck parking spaces and 70 jobs to Franklin County.

“We’re excited to add our seventh location to the Evergreen State and give customers the Highway Hospitality they know they’ll get when they stop at Love’s,” said Greg Love, Love’s co-CEO. “Whether it's fresh food, snacks or coffee; today's latest technologies or just somewhere to stretch your legs, Love’s has the amenities professional drivers and four-wheel customers need when they’re on the road.”

The 24/7 location offers Arby's (opening Aug. 29), 57 truck parking spaces, 78 car parking spaces, seven diesel bays, five showers, laundry facilities, CAT scale, bean-to-cup gourmet coffee, Fresh Kitchen concept, Mobile to Go Zone with the latest GPS, headsets and smartphone accessories and a dog park.

In honor of the grand opening, Love’s will donate $2,000 to Chaplaincy Cork’s Place, a nonprofit organization that supports children experiencing grief.

Additionally, Love’s announced the beginning of its annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals donation campaign. The campaign starts today, and customers can donate at every Love’s Travel Stop, Country Store, Love’s-owned hotel and participating Speedco locations through September 30.

Love’s partnership with CMN Hospitals began in 1999 and has raised more than $40 million for children across the country.

“CMN Hospitals provides amazing care for sick and injured children across the nation. We’re proud to partner with them to positively impact kids’ health,” said Jenny Love Meyer, Love’s chief culture officer and executive vice president. “Our team members and customers are incredible. They come together every year to help kids in their local area.”

To donate, customers can purchase a paper balloon for $1, $5 or $20, round up their change or donate at the register. This is the first year customers can donate on the credit/debit card pin pad at Travel Stops and Country Stores. Additionally, stores will hold raffles, fundraisers and sell CMN Hospitals merchandise to raise money.

Love’s will show additional support for CMN Hospitals on September 29, which is National Coffee Day. Customers can purchase any sized coffee for $1 with all proceeds going to CMN Hospitals. Coffee purchases must be made through the Love’s Connect app for the deal.

“Philanthropy is crucial to ensuring every child receives the best possible care, no matter life’s circumstances,” said Teri Nestel, president and CEO of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “Through partners like Love’s Travel Stops, children’s hospitals can fund their most urgent needs today, while preventing and preparing for those to come. Every dollar raised goes to the local member hospital, creating a healthier future for kids in those communities.”
