Kwik Trip Starts Instagram Initiative

Ambassador shares lifestyle and community posts to increase Kwik Trip’s brand visibility.

LA CROSSE, Wisc.—Kwik Trip is embarking on a new digital marketing strategy this year to reach new customers through Instagram.

Kristen Carlson, 28, is one of the Wisconsin-based c-store’s first Instagram ambassadors. Carlson is sharing photos that include Kwik Trip products and branding with her social media followers, the Wausau Daily Herald reports.

Kendra Nedegaard, digital content supervisor for Kwik Trip, said that Carlson was ideal to work with because she’s from Wisconsin and was already familiar with the Kwik Trip brand.

Carlson runs the Instagram account @missnortherner and a blog by the same name, where she shares and promotes Northwoods lifestyle in Wisconsin and the upper Midwest. The Wausau Daily Herald says that since Carlson’s account is about “up north” lifestyle and travel, Nedegaard said "it was a perfect fit.”

If Carlson goes for a morning walk, she might share a photo of her sipping Kwik Trip coffee in the park. If she has a picnic, she’ll post and tag Kwik Trip in a picture full of snacks.
