PLANO, Texas – Two years ago, Pizza Hut launched its beer delivery pilot program in Arizona and soon expanded to California. Now, the company is planning to magnify the effort to seven additional states and nearly 300 stores.
In the program’s second phase of expansion, Pizza Hut locations in Florida, Iowa, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio and additional locations in California and Arizona will offer beer delivery.
As the official pizza sponsor of the National Football League, the news is timely for the upcoming Super Bowl in February, which is also one of the busiest days for Pizza Hut.
"Our expanded beer delivery program and Super Bowl weekend creates a great level of excitement across our participating franchise partners and team members," said Nicolas Burquier, chief customer and operations officer of Pizza Hut, in a press release. "Beer delivery is a game-changing lever that we'll continue to pull in order to deliver oven-hot pizzas with ice-cold beer to customers watching and celebrating their favorite teams.”
