HOUSTON – Phillips 66 and Honda Developer Studio are working together to develop in-vehicle fuel payment integration. The technology will enable Honda vehicle owners to reserve a pump and pay for fuel at Phillips 66, 76 and Conoco locations through an in-dash infotainment system.

Users of the new in-vehicle feature can find the nearest Phillips station and pay at the pump from the “comfort of their driver seat.” Mobile pay launched in early 2018 and is rolling the technology out to all branded stations in 2019. Currently, 7,550 independently owned outlets in 48 states sell Phillips 66 products.

"We understand consumers want to fuel up, pay and quickly be on their way," said John Barbour, manager of payments and card services at Phillips 66. "Now consumers can use the Phillips 66 apps in Honda cars to pay for gas at the pump in a fast, friendly and seamless way."

The system is designed to provide a safe and seamless driving and fueling experience. In addition to the in-car commerce technology, the My Phillips 66 mobile app will continue to roll out in the U.S.—featuring integrations with Apple Inc. and Google devices, as well as Visa Checkout.
