ALEXANDRIA, Va. – In case you missed last week’s episode of Convenience Matters, “Fresh Ideas in European Convenience,” we talked with German retail expert Christian Warning of The Retail Marketers, to hear what is new, interesting and growing in Germany and European store chains.

Hosted by John Eichberger of the Fuels Institute and Erin Pressley of NACS, the trio talked about how forward-thinking European retail trends will eventually translate into the American convenience landscape.

From the fuels perspective, there is a lot going on in Europe, shifting over recent years from a petrol-based to a diesel-based economy, according to Eichberger. Warning talks about the politics and infrastructure needs for new regulations that are demanding the use of alternative fuels and electric vehicles.
