NACS is working with a several groups to support the goals of reFresh.

 
NACS, the first retail association to make a commitment with to the Partnership for Healthier America (PHA), has joined several NACS retailer and supplier member companies that have also committed to the nonpartisan nonprofit organization. Learn how to join with NACS and PHA to make the convenient choice the healthy choice.

  
NACS is the first retail-focused association to partner with the American Red Cross to advance community giving in stores and assist in disaster recovery efforts. Learn how you can get involved by collecting donations in-store with custom programs and NACS donation kits and other ways you can help those in need in your neighborhood.

 


NACS is working with Keep America Beautiful educate retailers to improve and beautify their stores and their community environment through recycling programs and litter reduction activities. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals have helped provide the best possible care for sick kids by raising more than $5 billion, most of it $1 at a time through Miracle Balloon icon campaigns. The Feeding America network of food banks and food pantries is leading the fight against hunger in communities nationwide. NACS retail and supplier members are involved in donating product to those in need and assisting in fundraising efforts. Contact Feeding America to submit a partnership inquiry to get involved.


NACS and United Fresh formed a partnership in 2014 to significantly increase the sales of fresh produce in convenience stores. Several guides and checklists are available for download to help convenience stores analyze trends, create plans and source produce.

 


National Safe Place works to expand the national safety net for youth through a network of licensed agencies that operate the Safe Place program. Join the National Safe Place Network which partners with retailers and communities to provide training to give immediate help and supportive resources to teens in crisis or in need a place to take shelter.

 
NACS and the DHS Blue Campaign are collaborating to raise retailer and public awareness about human trafficking in America. Download free resource guides to educate store employees to recognize instances of human trafficking and print materials for public display to help those in need get assistance.

 


The Alliance for a Healthier Generation believes every child deserves a healthier future. Healthier Generation works with companies and community organizations to empower kids to develop lifelong healthy habits. Leveraging their expertise and technology platform, we created the NACS PHA Healthier Products Calculator to help retailers evaluate healthier options for stores.


Using proven, practical solutions, No Kid Hungry is ending childhood hunger by ensuring that kids start the day with a nutritious breakfast and eat healthy summer meals, and that families learn the skills they need to shop and cook on a budget. NACS is worked with researchers at Cornell University to examine environmental changes and nudges that convenience retailers may try to encourage sales of better-for-you items. Several published case studies demonstrate how retailers can put plans into practice.
