ATLANTA – RaceTrac is expanding its fuel offer with the addition of E15 at four Central and Southwest Florida locations, part of the company's plan to bring the ethanol blend to more than 100 RaceTrac locations.

“Our mission is to make lives simpler and more enjoyable, and offering a variety of fuel options to our guests is one way we deliver on that mission,” said Max McBrayer, chief supply officer, in a statement “Like other alternative fuels we sell such as E85, Ethanol-Free gas and B20 biodiesel, the addition of E15 allows us to continue to offer the competitive fuel pricing we are known for, as well as provide the alternative fuel options that are becoming an increasing part of our industry’s landscape.”

E15 fuel is a higher octane fuel that is a combination of 15% ethanol and 85% gasoline. In 2011, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved E15 for use in vehicles built after 2001. Recently, more retailers have begun to embrace E15 as an alternative fuel.
