CHARLOTTE, N.C. – North Carolina-based grocery chain Harris Teeter is bringing fuel to customers in North and South Carolina with the opening of a new store featuring a Harris Teeter Fuel Center.

According to the Charlotte Observer, Kroger is implementing some of its own initiatives following the acquisition of Harris Teeter in 2014, which includes bringing the Harris Teeter Fuel Center to new stores.

This week Harris Teeter opened its largest grocery store to date, featuring five fuel dispensers, a soup bar, a wing bar, a wine and beer bar featuring 16 beers on tap and a growler station, a meat smoker, a juice bar, a walk-in humidor and an expanded selection of general merchandise.

In November, Harris Teeter opened its first Harris Teeter Fuel Center in North Carolina in Harrisburg; the company currently operates two other fuel centers in South Carolina.
