December 01, 2017

KAHULUI, Hawaii – Minit Stop, in partnership with Azeka Shopping Center and Street Bikers United Hawaii, has kicked off its annual Toys for Tots Holiday Toy Drive. For the past 40 years, Minit Stop has participated in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s annual campaign to collect toys and donations for Hawaii’s less fortunate keiki.

From now through December 18, community members can participate in the 2017 Toys for Tots Toy Drive by bringing new, unwrapped toys to their local Minit Stop store or to any store at Azeka Shopping Center. Monetary donations can be made by purchasing donation tickets in denominations of $1 and $5 at all Minit Stop checkout counters. Customers purchasing donation tickets will have their names posted in the store, and the funds raised will be used to purchase additional toys.

Street Bikers United Hawaii, a non-profit advocacy organization representing Hawaii’s motorcycle community, sends out a big mahalo to all who support this annual event. “We appreciate the outpouring of support from our partners and from the community,” said Ron Panzo, president of SBU. “We are grateful for the help in achieving our goal of making the holidays happy for all of Hawaii’s keiki.”

Kim Robello, Minit Stop merchandising manager, commented: “It’s all about the children. Toys for Tots is an institution in Hawaii and we at Minit Stop/Ohana Fuels are proud to give back by supporting the annual toy drive.”
