DUBLIN, OH – Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop's will surprise retail employees on Black Friday with a special edition travel mug that entitles them to free coffee at the company’s stores from November 28 through December 1.

The donut chain’s “Holiday Helpers" (restaurant owners) will surprise retail workers by showing up at their workplace — Best Buy, Kmart, Target and others — presenting them with an “I Survived Black Friday” travel mug that entitles them to free coffee.

"We believe in the spirit of giving during the holiday season," said Mike Meilleur, executive vice president, Tim Hortons U.S. "This year we wanted to give something to the people who work the hardest — the retail workers. We hope to keep them warm and caffeinated as they put in long hours this Thanksgiving weekend."

Retail employees who receive the travel mug can get free coffee refills at participating Tim Hortons Café & Bake Shop restaurants in participating markets.

This is the third year of the company’s Holiday Helpers campaign. In previous years, the company handed out more than $25,000 in gift cards to unsuspecting shoppers.
