NACS Foundation Shows How #ConvenienceCares

New video focuses on the “C” in community in advance of Giving Tuesday.
November 22, 2017

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – A new video showcases how convenience stores contribute a billion dollars a year to charities and make a difference in communities that they serve. The 2-1/2 minute video was developed by the NACS Foundation to inspire more positive stories about how convenience retailers make a positive difference in communities through their generous support of the NACS Foundation and other community-focused programs, whether during Giving Tuesday (November 28) or any other day of the year.

“We have a powerful story to tell on behalf of our industry and this video helps bring that story to life. It shows how new programs within the NACS Foundation are being designed to support and amplify the positive impact of our convenience community,” said Stephanie Sikorski, director of the NACS Foundation and Mission Marketing.

The NACS Foundation builds a stronger industry by advancing knowledge and leadership through education programs, funding scholarships and internship experiences. Since it was launched in the 1990s, it has provided more than a half a million dollars in scholarships and has made a difference in hundreds of lives and improved countless communities. This year, the NACS Foundation also funded community engagement with three major NACS partnerships and groundbreaking initiatives with the Partnership for a Healthier America, Keep America Beautiful and the American Red Cross.
