DUBLIN, Ohio – Following a similar announcement by McDonald’s, Wendy’s is the latest QSR to bring chicken tenders to its menu.

Wendy's is launching its new offer with a Chicken Tender Meal that includes three chicken tenders, small fry and a small drink for $5. The tenders are lightly breaded and seasoned and served with a new trademarked “S'Awesome” sauce.

"We decided to raise the bar because customers deserve better-tasting and quality chicken," said Kurt Kane, Wendy's chief concept and marketing officer. "After two years of perfecting our new Chicken Tenders and Side of S'Awesome sauce, we knew we had a winner. The only thing left to do was provide these tenders at a price point that customers would love."

NACS Magazine recently featured NACS supplier members that are helping retailers bring a quality chicken program to their stores: Krispy Krunchy, Chester’s International and Tyson Convenience. And with the NACS Show just one week away, exhibiting companies in the foodservice space will have something for everyone walking the expo aisles.
