WICHITA, Kan. – Convenience stores are known for their easy-to-find locations and plethora of needed products. Now, one c-store has taken convenience to a new level by being housed in a converted shuttle bus, The Sunflower reports.

The as-yet unnamed store on wheels opened last week to serve snacks and drinks to students at Wichita State University. Monday through Friday, the wheeled store is parked in a lot at the Wichita State Metropolitan Complex from 6:45 am to 9:15 pm when classes are being held.

The store has a wide array of beverages: 26 different coffee drinks, including 18 types of cappuccino; Coca-Cola products; energy drinks; tea drinks; bottled water; and four smoothie and frozen options. In addition, the store stocks candy, chips, gum and mints. The convenience store also serves Daylight Donuts, hot dogs and jalapeno cheddar smoked sausage rolls. Owner Kelly Fankhauser is working to add sandwiches to the list.

The main attraction of the shuttle bus convenience store is, well, it’s convenience for college students. While there are other convenience stores near campus, the convenience store “bus” hopes to fill a need for students and faculty waiting to take a shuttle bus to the main campus.
