September 26, 2014

LAS VEGAS – If you ask any successful leader in foodservice, they’ll tell you about a strong commitment to success that starts with the company’s leaders and resonates throughout the company DNA. To transform a program sometimes requires a strong resolve to change and sometimes a “sit and watch” mentality.

In the NACS Show Spotlight Session, “Committing to Foodservice Transformation,” on Wednesday, October 8 from 9:05 – 9:55 am, attendees will hear from Steven DeSutter, the new CEO of Focus Brands. Inc. Having recently exited the convenience industry to join a foodservice group, which includes brand giants Moe’s Southwest Grill, Auntie Anne’s, Cinnabon, Schlotzsky’s, McAlister’s Deli and Carvel, DeSutter will share his insights on how our industry can grow its foodservice and the challenges he sees from cross-channel competition.

Session attendees will get a unique opportunity to hear the wisdom behind DeSutter’s famous “Don’t just try it!” philosophy, while also gaining strategies that can be applied right away to existing programs. Moderated by Robin DiPietro, associate professor at the University of South Carolina, the session will also provide tips on how to achieve successful cultural integration of a foodservice program within your company.
