MILFORD, Conn. – Subway recently announced it will revamp its brand and logo next year. The 50-year-old sandwich chain will refresh its image in an attempt to win over a new generation of consumers. Currently, the chain operates more than 44,000 locations in 110 countries.

In the spirit of comradery, DesignCrowd—a virtual design studio with more than 450,000 designers—launched a contest asking its members to create a new logo for Subway. While not affiliated with the chain, the website has posted what its designers think the new Subway logo could look like.

DesignCrowd gave the designers a $300 budget for the new logo. Thus far, nearly 180 designers have submitted their concepts for a new Subway logo. You can view their creations here.

Subway hasn’t responded officially to the contest, but who knows? Maybe one of these logos will catch the eye of the company.
