WASHINGTON – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Center for Tobacco Products (CTP) has a new webinar available for viewing on “Using the Tobacco Registration and Listing System—Tips and Recent Enhancements.” This webinar provides information about the recent enhancements to the Tobacco Registration and Listing Module (TRLM) of the FDA Unified Registration and Listing System (FURLS), which help streamline the process of submitting information to CTP.

The webinar also provides tips on the registration and listing process, based on questions the center has received from the industry, and includes a reminder of the Sept. 30, 2017, compliance date.

The FDA has a series of videos on tobacco compliance, including the 2016 webinar, “Registration and Product Listing Requirements for Domestic Establishments.” This webinar covers topics such as who must register and provide tobacco product listings to the FDA, when to submit to the FDA, the types of information to include with your establishment registration and tobacco product listing submission, and a list of helpful resources. The agency encourages those who are required to submit establishment registration and tobacco product listing information for the first time under the final deeming regulation to make use of both resources.

The FDA’s series of webinars are designed to help tobacco retailers, importers and manufacturers better understand the agency’s regulatory authority. Participants learn the steps they must take to comply with the rule’s requirements for the marketing and sale of all tobacco products.
