COLUMBUS, Ind. – Next week, Ricker’s convenience stores will open its newest location, one of five flagship stores that the convenience retailer plans to open this year in central Indiana.

“This store follows the new flagship design of the Ricker’s brand,” said the company’s president and CEO, Quinn Ricker. “Quality food and drink offerings in convenience stores are the future of our industry.”

In addition to its sleek design, the store will feature a variety of products that break the mold of the typical convenience store. The store offers fresh “bean to cup” gourmet coffee, cappuccino, iced coffee and frappés along with a variety of flavored syrups and creamers. All machines employ reverse-osmosis water filtration. There is also a selection of beer and wine priced lower than most liquor stores.

This location is also home to Ricker’s own brand of fast and fresh Mexican cuisine. “We are proud to offer such a fresh, high-quality and affordable product that is also unique to the Ricker’s brand,” said Ricker. “We prepare all food items fresh, in-store and made to order. Kiosks are in place to allow each order to be customized to the individual’s liking.”

In addition to its extensive food and drink offerings, the new location will place a high priority on fuel, providing Lucas Oil additives in their premium and diesel fuels to increase power and fuel mileage and lower exhaust emissions.

Headquartered in Anderson, Ricker’s mission is to be the upscale convenience store of choice in Indiana. Ricker’s was founded in 1979 by Jay and Nancy Ricker in Middletown, Indiana. Ten years later, they purchased the company’s first convenience store. Since its inception, Ricker’s has grown to include more than 52 high-end convenience stores, with more than 700 employees.
