ROCKLAND, Mass. – Tedeschi Food Shops is helping pave the way for fresh produce in convenience stores.

Following months of research and careful planning, the retailer is now offering more selection and higher quality fresh fruits and vegetables to its customers. Features of the produce program include a new ordering system and a new supplier who packs the produce in smaller package sizes.

Working directly with a produce wholesaler and delivering product to stores three times a week will enable Tedeschi’s to offer competitive prices and fresh produce to customers every day of the year.

Strawberries, blueberries, personal-size watermelons, cantaloupes, corn, fall squash, pumpkins and clementines are some of the seasonal items to be featured in larger volume stores. Core offerings will include bananas, apples, oranges, lettuce, celery, potatoes and onions, to name just a few.

Tedeschi’s is passionate about its produce with a dedication to freshness and quality. The retailer takes pride in offering a variety of fresh foods including fresh produce, making it a convenient alternative to the grocery store.
