ALEXANDRIA, VA - The first NACS Annual Meeting, which we know today as the NACS Show, took place shortly after the association??s founding in 1961. The event was held in Dallas and attracted just 80 attendees.

During the 1970s, the Annual Meeting evolved into a forum to exchange ideas. In 1973, the first equipment expo was introduced to the event, and by 1979, NACS Show attendance reached 2,812.

Over the past five decades, NACS Show workshops, expo space, general sessions and overall attendance has increased exponentially, but the goal is still the same: to give retailers and suppliers a forum to connect, share industry knowledge and find that one idea that could change their business. Today, the NACS Show attracts more than 20,000 convenience and fuel retailing industry stakeholders and it??s the top buying show in the country.
