ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Following a successful June event, the Fuels Institute’s Fuels and Vehicles Outlook Summer Symposium Series continues this month on July 20 in Arlington, Virginia, where attendees will engage with experts to learn where the fuels market is heading so they can prepare to take advantage of new opportunities.

Fuels Institute symposiums provide an exceptional opportunity to engage with experts in an intimate and informal setting, providing attendees with insight not available from reading articles or listening to speeches delivered to large crowds. The upcoming Fuels and Vehicles Outlook Symposium will dive deep into the conditions and trends that will shape the fuels and vehicles markets for the next 20 years.

Here are some highlights to expect:

  • The U.S. Energy Information Administration recently released its Annual Energy Outlook, projecting market conditions for the energy sector through 2040. The AEO is widely cited by industry experts as the basis for analysis of market conditions. EIA will join the Fuels Institute to provide an overview of its transportation fuels forecasts and discuss the particular factors that are likely to influence the market.
  • In November 2013, Navigant Research prepared the Fuels Institute’s vehicle forecast, “Tomorrow’s Vehicles,” projecting sales and inventories through 2023. Having updated this study in 2016 (the report will be released later this year), Navigant will present its findings concerning fuels and systems that will power the light duty and heavy duty fleets through 2025.
  • Tom Kloza with OPIS, Joanne Shore with AFPM and Mike O’Brien with Growth Energy will talk about the liquid fuels market; NGV America and the Advanced Biofuels Association will discuss developing opportunities for alternative fuels in the heavy-duty truck sector; and Kwik Trip, Sheetz and Trillium will join a panel for a robust discussion on retailing transportation fuels.

There is no better opportunity to learn where the market is heading than our upcoming Fuels Institute symposium. Don’t miss your chance to learn from the experts. Register today
