NACS Visits Capitol Hill

Issues discussed include Internet lottery, data security and taxes.

June 26, 2014

WASHINGTON – Yesterday, NACS Government Relations Staff, accompanied by members of the NACS Legislative and NACSPAC committees, went to Capitol Hill for a series of informal meetings with legislators to discuss some of the industry’s most pressing issues.

More than 30 NACS representatives met with legislators and key staff who are responsible for crafting and managing legislation in both the Senate and House, to discuss issues including fuels, food, data security, taxes and Internet lottery. This effort, a follow-up to NACS’s larger “Day on the Hill” which occurs in the spring, is meant to keep the concerns of the convenience and fuels industry at the forefront of the legislative agenda.

With only a handful of working days left in the current congressional session, it is more important than ever for NACS members to reach out to legislators to make your voices heard. Visit NACS Grassroots to learn more about how to contact your legislators.
