Engaging Employees Drives Sales

Newest NACS Coca-Cola Retailing Research Council report shows the most important driver of worker engagement is knowing management cares.
June 22, 2016

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Every retailer is looking for ways to improve their sales growth strategy. The NACS Coca-Cola Retailing Research Council today released Phase III of its report on the power of employee engagement. The report provides retailers with a powerful solution by creating a culture of employee engagement within their company.

The research shows that the most important driver of worker engagement is an employee’s knowledge that management, from the CEO to the first-line supervisors, actually cares about him. The research also shows that higher engagement generates increased sales, even when business growth isn’t necessarily the main goal.

The full report is a three-part study starting with two video series. The first shows the impact of employee engagement in real retailers’ careers and the second series provides tactical ways retailers can improve employee engagement in their stores.

The three-part study presents the emotional aspects of employee engagement, as well as hard numbers that retailers need to see before committing to a new business expansion strategy. Guidance on specific actions to take is also included in the final report. Download this study on the CCRRC North America NACS report page to get started.
