NEW YORK – The Wall Street Journal reports that Burger King Japan has another color inspiration for its menu: In what’s starting to sound more like a checkerboard, the fast-food chain is introducing an all red chicken sandwich.

For the bright red coloring, Burger King added tomato powder to both the bun and cheese. Other red ingredients include tomato and hot sauce made from miso and pepper. The Aka Samurai Chicken sandwich will be on sale for a limited time beginning July 3.

Burger King has also improved its black burger. The new version, Kuro Shogun, features the same black bun, cheese and sauce as the previous version, with the addition of deep fried eggplant.
