YORK, Pa. – Fresh off its
11th consecutive year as the winner of Best Milk in the York Daily
Record/Sunday News’ annual Best of York reader’s poll, Rutter’s Dairy
celebrates National Dairy Month this month.
Central Pennsylvania’s
love affair with Rutter’s milk has been a long one. Ninety-two years ago,
George and Bud Rutter sold the first 15 quarts of Rutter’s milk door-to-door
from their horse-drawn wagon.
Guided by the standard of
excellence and high quality products, and under the third generation of family
leadership, Rutter’s Dairy collects its milk exclusively from local dairy farms
and produces delicious milk products on-site at the original dairy farm in
York, Pa., which dates back to 1747.
