ATLANTA - Food appeal can be in a consumers?? face with new 3D video menu boards announced last week by Zinger Digital Signs.

DigitalSignageConnection.com writes that Zinger??s 3D signs, available to QSRs and fast-casuals, allows restaurants to incorporate video promotions into their menu displays, and instantly update content to account for last-minute product and price changes for a single location or multiple locations.

The 3D video element "can make an instant appetizing appeal to the viewer and dramatically increase food sales and brand recognition. And it could keep customers staring at menu boards for longer periods," according to the company.

"An operator can have a cross-promotion with a Hollywood 3D movie release, showing 3D clips to customers along with the product promotion. It's a natural, and the 3D creates additional profit opportunities," David Bawarsky founder of Zinger, told the news source.

Unlike movies, which require wearing special 3D glasses, Zinger's 3D menu boards don??t require glasses, giving customers the "wow-factor" and an element of entertainment, which also makes a juicy hamburger look like it??s popping out from the menu board screen.

As of now, the menu boards are only available to QSRs and fast-casual restaurants. For about $7,000 each, the 3D menu board displays are available in 42- and 55-inch models and are certified to operate 24/7.
