ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Now through June 15, you can recognize rising industry leaders through the NACS Scholarship Program. Many of the convenience industry’s leaders got their start at the store level. Through hard work and commitment to learning, these individuals followed the career paths of the industry to positions of senior leadership.

Established in 1991, the NACS Scholarship Program has supported this journey by awarding nearly $400,000 to employees of NACS retail member companies who demonstrate leadership potential. Selected applicants will be awarded $3,000 for costs toward undergraduate career education, community college or university.

In addition, the 2016 scholarship recipients also receive a stipend to attend this year’s NACS Show in Atlanta on October 18–21, where they will be recognized during a special evening ceremony and given a firsthand opportunity to learn more about exciting career paths in the industry. The program targets college and university students—rising leaders who have demonstrated leadership potential within the convenience channel.

The NACS Scholarship Program provides a way for NACS retail members to retain, reward and develop the next generation of industry innovators within their companies by investing in their employees’ education and excellence.
