SAN RAMON, Calif. - Chevron will pay double spiffs to gasoline stations for personal credit card applications, Oil Express reports. The gas station chain will give $4 per valid and complete personal card applications submitted during June.

"There??s no limit to the amount of rewards that can be earned," said the company in an email to branded retailers and marketers. The normal fee is $2 per application sent in.

Customer incentives are also on the table, with Chevron giving out 20 cents per gallon fuel credits for the first 60 days for new accounts approved April 1 through June 30, according to Oil Express. The normal incentives for new consumer credit card accounts is 10 cents per gallon on fuel buys at Texaco and Chevron, and 3% in fuel credits on nonfuel purchases at the same stations, plus 1% on all other nonfuel buys.

Chevron has sweetened the pot for new commercial business customers, took with a tiered rewards system of rebates on fuel purchases up to 4 cents per gallon. New commercial business customers also get 5 cents per gallon during the first 12 months of being a client if on the top tier of incentives. The retailer also receives a $50 bonus for each commercial business application that??s approved.
