ALEXANDRIA, VA - On June 22, all retailers must be in compliance with the FDA€™s new rules and regulations concerning the sale of tobacco products in their stores.

To help retailers learn more about how these new regulations will effect the sale of tobacco products in their stores, check out a brief "FDA Tobacco 101" guide, featured in the current issue of NACS Magazine, on the new rules. Responses are based on a NACS-hosted webinar that outlined key provisions and answered participant questions and concerns.

Manufacturers have also reached out to their retail partners in recent months leading up to the deadline. Swisher International issued a statement on May 11 and Altria produced a brochure via its website for retailers to access.
