DALLAS – The Star-Telegram reports that a camel named Hercules was added to Fuel City’s Haltom City store. Hercules joins the retailer’s menagerie of two buffaloes, two longhorns, a zebra, a donkey and a zonkey (a half-zebra, half-donkey).

At Fuel City, which broke ground on its fourth store, located in Saginaw, Texas, customers are curious what owner John Benda has in store. The answer: Pizza!Pizza! The news source writes that Little Caesars has decided to open up a store-within-a-store franchise in Fuel City’s new store, after officials from the pizza chain visited Benda’s stores in Dallas, Mesquite and Haltom City.

Little Caesar’s pizza will be served in addition to Fuel City’s foodservice offers: fried pies, street tacos and a new hamburger Benda is calling The King Burger.

“We’re real excited about Little Caesars being there along with the fried pies,” Benda told the news source. “I think it is going to be our most exciting store.”

Benda said the new store will be the last in the Fort Worth area, but he’s eyeing a fifth store possibly in Arlington, Texas.

Fuel City is one of the featured retailers in the 2016 Ideas 2 Go video NACS produces annually to showcase innovative ideas from convenience stores around the country.
