DALLAS - In-N-Out Burger has officially hit the Texas market, with some loyal patrons waiting as long as three hours to get a taste of Southern California??s iconic burger, running out of gas, or even camping out overnight just to be the first in line.

In-N-Out Burger opened two locations last week in the Texas towns of Frisco and Allen. "You??d think the pope was here," wrote Dallas Observer web editor Nick Rallo.

On opening day, police directed traffic. A woman even cried upon tasting her first In-N-Out burger.

Along with the new restaurants, In-N-Out has opened a distribution center in Dallas to serve the Texas locations. It??s possible more expansion is underway, but until then, more Texas towns can look forward to having their own In-N-Out in the coming months: Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving and Garland, writes the Huffington Post.

Whataburger and McDonald??s are likely paying attention.
