ALEXANDRIA, VA – This week is “NACS Show Week” — with every day featuring news about prominent and influential NACS Show General Session speakers, surprises we can’t wait to share with you about the expo or networking events entirely new to the NACS Show.

Here’s our third big announcement of more news to come this week: new NACS Show post-expo events!

NACS has announced a series of new post-expo evening events that will debut at the NACS Show, which takes place this year from October 12 to 15 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

The NACS Show is essential for networking, which is why attendees can look forward to catching up with old friends and making new contacts at post-expo evening events. A series of evening events will help attendees extend their networking opportunities beyond traditional expo hours:

  • NACS Show Kick-Off Party | Saturday, October 12 | 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Held on Atlanta’s “Restaurant Row,” less than two blocks from the Georgia World Congress Center, the kick-off party replaces the traditional Welcome Reception. In addition to planned entertainment, attendees are eligible for a “Golden Ticket,” with winners receiving a limo party, spending money and access to exclusive parties all week. Tickets for the event are included in full registrations.
  • NACS Show Tailgate Party Sunday | October 13 | 5:30 pm – 6:45 pm
Conveniently located in the Hall C lobby of the Georgia World Congress Center, attendees can watch NFL games and highlights on flat-screen TVs, as well as participate in onsite games and activities. Registration is free for all attendees.
  • NACS Show 2014 Launch Party | Monday, October 14 | 5:30 pm – 6:45 pm
Conveniently located in the Hall C lobby of the Georgia World Congress Center and featuring bands and other entertainment. The event allows attendees to learn more about other industry events that can help grow their business in 2014 and beyond. Registration is free for all attendees.

“These new events extend the networking value of our traditional Opening Reception across three days,” said NACS Vice Chairman of Convention Pat Lewis, a partner at Twin Falls, Idaho-based Oasis Stop ’N Go. “The NACS Show doesn’t end when the expo closes, and these new evening events deliver enhanced value to attendees who want to continue to network after expo closes and before their scheduled dinner events.”

Register Today for the NACS Show

Registration and housing is now open at nacsshow.com for the NACS Show, the most comprehensive event for convenience and fuel retailing professionals. This year’s event features a 392,000-net-square-foot expo, making it the largest NACS Show expo ever. A total of 1,050 companies are exhibiting at the 2013 NACS Show — of which 150-plus companies are first-time exhibitors.

In addition, the NACS Show was again rated in the top 10 among U.S. trade shows in three of the four key categories used by exhibitors to measure audience quality, according to a national survey of the country’s biggest trade shows conducted by Exhibit Surveys Inc. It also was named one of the top 50 trade shows based on net square feet according to the Trade Show News Network’s (TSNN) Top 250 Trade Shows in the United States. At 381,050 net square feet, the 2012 NACS Show was ranked as the 48th largest U.S. trade show last year.

Acclaimed business leader and best-selling author Chip Conley has been named as an Opening General Session speaker. A best-selling author and acclaimed motivational speaker, Conley also is the founder of Joie de Vivre, California’s largest independent hotel company and America’s second-largest boutique hotelier, with more than 40 unique and award-winning hotels, restaurants and spas.

At the 2012 NACS Show, a record number of buyers fueled a 7.2% surge in attendance, which hit 24,056 — the second-highest total ever. The excitement from the 2012 NACS Show has carried over to 2013. Exhibit space for this year’s NACS Show is sold out with a waitlist, which is unprecedented so far in advance of the event.

Full registration, which includes admission to the general sessions, educational sessions, expo and the welcome reception, is $295 for NACS retailer members and $495 for other retailer attendees. One-day registration also is available ($195 per day for NACS retailer members and $295 per day for other retailers). These super-saver rates are available until July 31. Other rates apply for non-exhibiting manufacturers, service providers, brokers and consultants. NACS Show attendees can register for the event and secure housing at nacsshow.com.
