LOS ANGELES ?" Ralphs has partnered with Shell to help customers throughout Southern California earn savings on fuel faster with a new Double Points promotion this summer.

Through an alliance between Ralphs and Shell launched last year, Southern California-area customers can fill their tanks for less at participating Shell stations by swiping their Ralphs rewards card at the pump to redeem rewards points. Now Ralphs and Shell are making it even more convenient for customers to earn fuel discounts. Running May 2 through August 31, Southern California-area customers earn double points on qualifying purchases at Ralphs when they buy fuel at participating Shell locations.

When customers purchase fuel at a participating Shell station, they take their receipt with the Double Points offer, along with their Ralphs rewards card, to Ralphs to buy qualifying groceries. Then they receive double points at checkout for that single purchase, which can be redeemed for fuel discounts at participating Shell locations.

"Our Double Points promotion can help customers earn rewards even faster this summer," said Mike Donnelly, president of Ralphs Supermarkets, in a press release. "We want to give our customers in the Southern California-area more convenient ways to save on fuel. Now the fuel discounts can add up more quickly, helping our shoppers fill up their tank for less more often."
