ALEXANDRIA, Va. – In June, convenience and fuel retailing industry professionals from around the world will gather in Stockholm and London for new knowledge, new commercial connections and networking, and the opportunity to discover and discuss new ideas from retail store tours.

During the London portion of the conference, Joachim Hauser, BMW vice president mobility services and CEO of ParkNow will explain how BMW is transforming itself to provide premium mobility services to its customers in addition to manufacturing cars in “Disruption in the Age of Convenience.” BMW believes that by 2030, the majority of mileage will be driven by autonomous cars because of a growth in autonomous driving fleets, although the majority of cars will still be manually driven.

BMW mobility services are developing a whole new range of services for motorists as traditional motoring behaviors are increasingly disrupted. BMW is developing services like DriveNow (car sharing), ParkNow, ChargeNow, BMW i Ventures, Life 360, MyCityWay, JustPark, ChargePoint and ChargeMaster. In his presentation, Hauser will explain what these new services offer and how they work.

Attendees can reflect upon the implications for convenience and fuel retailers of a developing transformation in motorist behaviors and consider the implications for the industry, which are potentially enormous.

Overall, the focus of the summit will be retailer roundtables, international best practice presentations on key trends and developments in the global industry, and retailer case studies. Registration for the NACS Insight Convenience Summit – Europe is available online.
