YORK, Pa. – Golfers tee off today at the Outdoor County Club in York at the 11th annual golf outing to benefit Rutter’s Children’s Charities.

The 2-day event, the proceeds from which total over $1 million since its beginning in 2002, brings together suppliers from across the country to support the effort of Rutter’s Children’s Charities to improve the lives of local children.

This year, Chambersburg Hospital will use the donation it receives from Rutter’s to purchase a Panda® Warmer and Resuscitation Center, a cutting-edge piece of neonatal care equipment, which will ensure the highest standard of treatment for the hospital’s tiniest and most fragile children. In addition, the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Greater Pennsylvania will receive a donation from Rutter’s to fulfill the dreams of local children battling life-threatening illnesses.

Rutter's has been active in the Central Pennsylvania community since its beginning in 1921. Today, under the family’s third generation of leadership, Rutter’s Dairy products are available across the Mid-Atlantic region and Rutter’s Farm Stores operates 58 convenience stores throughout Central Pennsylvania with Scott Hartman as president and CEO, Todd Rutter as president of Rutter’s Dairy and Tim Rutter as president of M&G Realty.
