SAVANNAH, Ga. – Enmark Stations Inc. has announced their renewed commitment to several fundraising efforts on behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Beginning May 1 and throughout the month, all 64 of Enmark’s retail stores in Georgia and the Carolinas will sell paper icons in support of LLS Light The Night Walk. Enmark Stations will also hold Full-Service Fridays during the month to raise funds for the charity.

Enmark has set an aggressive goal to raise $83,706 in support of LLS’ mission to cure blood cancer and help patients and their families. This is a 10% increase over the $76,097 they raised in this same campaign last year.

Full-Service Fridays allow customers to pull into the Enmark Store, where members of the Enmark management team will be pumping gas, wiping windows and handing out coupons in hopes of collecting donations for LLS’ 2015 Light the Night event. Local radio stations will be broadcasting at each event and food will be available to purchase, as well as entering all donors to win Enmark cash cards and other prizes. The paper icons, which will be available throughout May, can be purchased for $1 and personalized with the donor’s name. They will then be displayed on surfaces inside the Enmark stations.

“The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is an organization that is very dear to me,” said Houstoun Demere, vice president/general manager of Enmark. “I lost my mother to leukemia when I was 6 and my sister was 8. It is in her memory and in support of all of those currently fighting leukemia and lymphoma that Enmark is proud to support LLS’ Light The Night Walk annually.”

Savannah, Georgia’s LLS Light The Night Walk will take place in October, during which time participants will carry an illuminated balloon along the walk route. Cancer patients and survivors will carry white balloons as “lights of hope,” supporters carry red balloons and those walking in remembrance of someone carry gold balloons.
