NOCO Express Stores Raise More Than $12,000 For MDA

The stores sold shamrocks during March for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

TONAWANDA, N.Y. - NOCO Express Stores, its customers and employees came together to show their shamrock spirit in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). As a result of NOCO??s annual "Share the Shamrock Spirit" in-store campaign, a total of $12,980 was raised for MDA.

"Thank you to all of our customers and employees for sharing in NOCO??s shamrock spirit in support of the MDA this year," said Michael Newman, executive vice president of operations for NOCO Energy Corp, in a press release. "Your generosity will provide continued support for MDA programs and services benefiting individuals right here in Western New York from sponsoring a child at MDA summer camp to purchasing wheelchairs and other related medical equipment."

From February 13 through March 18, customers purchased a paper shamrock for $1 at any NOCO Express location to benefit the MDA. Since 2008, NOCO has donated $41,598 to the MDA in support of finding a cure and supporting the organization??s programs and services.

"NOCO has made such an amazing impact in our local community by participating in the Shamrock campaign and the Amherst/ Williamsville Lock-Up," said Theresa Ford, executive director for the MDA. "In Western New York, MDA serves over 800 individuals who have muscle diseases. Because of NOCO??s community participation, 16 children that have Muscular Dystrophy will be able to attend camp this summer. Thank you NOCO for truly making a difference!"
