ALEXANDRIA, VA — NACS has released its NACS State of the Industry Compensation Report of 2014 Data, the latest snapshot of compensation levels, turnover and benefits metrics for the convenience and fuel retailing industry.

This year’s report is based on confidential data submitted by 82 retail companies representing nearly 12,000 stores from November 2014 to February of 2015. The report includes compensation figures, turnover rates and benefits metrics for the convenience and fuel retailing industry as of January 1, 2015.

“The latest Compensation Report is essential reading for all industry professionals involved in human capital decision-making and for refining priorities for workforce investments,” said NACS Vice Chairman of Research Joe Sheetz, president and CEO of Altoona, Pennsylvania-based Sheetz Inc.

The report examines annual base salaries and the dollar value of all additional compensation for 11 executive-level positions, seven operations positions and eight store-level positions, sorted by region and firm size. The report also provides total projected percentage salary and benefits increases.

The report makes a strong separation between benefits for three groups: corporate, managerial and store hourly. This approach produces more accurate reporting and allows for better understanding of benefits granted to diverse groups of employees. New this year is a Small Operator section, providing a breakdown of salary, health care and benefits for smaller-sized companies.

The NACS State of the Industry Compensation Report of 2014 Data (order number 40022074) is available to NACS members in PDF format for $175 ($275 non-member price). Orders can be placed online at nacsonline.com/compreport or by calling NACS at (703) 684-3600.
